Aldrin said the International Space Station (ISS) should be run by
private firms. NASA cannot afford $3.5 billion (£2.7 million) a year of
keeping ISS, he claimed. This is the first part of Aldrin's long-term
plan to get humans to colonize Mars. In 2015, NASA said it will only
fund the ISS until 2028 at the latest.
