North Korea plans use two rocket launch sites, one on the eastern coast and the other on the west, for its space program, according to a North Korean government official. The official, who briefed foreign journalists on Sunday about preparations for the nation's upcoming satellite launch in Tongchang-ri on the northwestern coast, said North Korea has a "concrete plan" for a satellite launch from the launch site at Musudan-ri in the country's northeast close to the Sea of Japan coast.North Korea on Sunday allowed foreign media outlets, including Kyodo News, an unprecedented visit to the launch site in Tongchang-ri, North Pyongan Province, where Pyongyang said it will launch an "earth observation satellite" between April 12 and 16.
