This didn't get mentioned here, but the October 11 issue of Space News had an interesting story stating that the US has now acquired a satellite jamming capability. It's called the CounterCom system for Counter Communications System, intended to "temporarily jam communications satellites."

The Counter Surveillance Reconnaissance System (CSRS), known informally as "Scissors," was canceled. It was intended to "temporarily disrupt imaging satellites being used by US adversaries in battle." It was supposed to be a "nondestructive system" using directed energy to temporarily blind or dazzle commercial or government owned imaging satellites. It's not exactly clear who canceled CSRS or why.
