Note that the _only_ thing that has been announced is an agreement between
the Survivor producer and MirCorp.  What this means is that the producer
still has to go out and find someone to pay for the show.  And one would
expect such a show to cost quite a bit of money (add production costs on
top of the $20 million cost to fly).

I hate being the only one to cast a skeptical eye on all things MirCorp,
but the reporting on this stuff is incredibly shallow--all the news
articles do is rewrite the press releases.  Nobody bothered to point out
the money issue (i.e. producer Burkett still has to raise money before
this becomes possible).

This may just be a sloppy translation, but it is inaccurate--MirCorp did
not "turn" to commercial ventures to keep Mir in orbit.  It was a
commercial effort from the beginning.
